A deepfake video of me is circulating in Srinagar WhatsApp groups. How do I stop it and punish the creator?

File an FIR at the cyber crime police station in Srinagar under Section 66E IT Act, 2000 (violation of privacy), Section 67 IT Act (obscene content), and Section 356 BNS, 2023 (defamation). Report each instance to the platform and group admin under IT Rules, 2021 for removal within 24 hours. Preserve the video, metadata, and group forwards as electronic evidence under Section 63B BSA, 2023. File a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal and request forensic analysis to identify the source device. The DPDP Act, 2023 also covers misuse of personal data including facial features. If police do not act, approach Jammu and Kashmir High Court under Article 226 for a writ. Check Jammu and Kashmir Rent Control Act 1966 for any state assistance for deepfake victims.
